Hi my name is Starford, I am 10 years old and I’m a year 6 student at Pt England School and my culture is Tongan and Maori. I have drawn a poster about a Pt England logo and coloured it in,I have choose the word ‘RESPECT’ because I don’t like people who disrespect me.
My colours that I painted on my poster are blue background, a black border, light green bird, a red river, green land and a colourful respect. I have choose this word because they represent myself.
I sketched the poster and put some patterns on because I am an islander and I love drawing.

Who are The Spartans?

IIn Ancient Greece Spartans lived in land of love and freedom. They were always being honest.

Young boys at the age 7, left their family’s and trained for war. They grew long hair and had no luxuries. Finally the young Spartans learned how to be a Policeman then a Soldier’s.

The Spartans fought all the time for themselves or other city's that would pay them. They captured Men and women to work at the fields and farms and they were helots

Women of Sparta were really tough and they feasted on their sons if they were defeated. And celebrated if their sons win the battle.

Around the Bays 2011

Yesterday there was a marathon around the the bays in Mission Bay , Around the bays is when people run 8ks for fitness. Abundance of people were there and I didn’t know anyone apart from Lorenzo! I looked at the clock and we had ten minutes left and I was timouris.

10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, BOOM!!! The cannon shot out gun powder and off we went. We ran with excitement in us! Suddenly I stumbled over the rocks on the ground and I got back up and kept running. Me and Lorenzo looked straight ahead and saw the first water station “Yaaaaay” We had a couple of drinks.

We’re over the bridge and finished our drinks, me and Lorenzo hit halfway and we started to fell tired and we really wanted some water. So I speeded up to see if I could see some water and I did. “Lorenzo I found some water!” I shouted out, But it was cold juice even better!! After that We got to Mission Bay and we went though a shortcut in the sand.... “I'll run in the water” I said,so I ran through and my shoes were soaking.

Finally me and Lorenzo were close. We were really puffed out! Some kids tried to bet me but I just gassed it at the end and they got beaten and my time was 47 minutes.

Cricket Coaching

Hhhhhhhhhh Cricket again dang it! I wonder what strategy it is this time? Every Thursday our class has to go and and practice some boring Cricket. Our coaches were from the New Zealand Cricket team and their name are Chris, Hammod and Robin.

New Zealand’s darkest day

A devastating Earthquake struck Christchurch on Tuesday 1.00pm lunch time.It was six point three on the richter scale, and only 5 km deep. Jon key decleamed it was New Zealand’s darkest day.

Buildings were collapsing onto street with debris and rubble all on the ground crushing people and their family’s. Lots of old building just tumbled down and ruined many things. The 4 storeyed Pinegould Guiness building got destroyed crushing people under it.

So far 75 people are dead and 3OO are still missing.Last night a lady got stuck in a window at the cathedral. People were bleeding got sent to hospital.

The seed
