One Tree Hill

On thursday last week room14, 15, 16, 17and 18 went on a long trip to one tree hill. On the way we were having so much fun. When we got there it looked very big.
Our first thing that we did was go and learn about volcanoes.It was really cool that one tree hill is the oldest volcano and Rangitoto is the youngest. We watched a movie about how many volcanoes are in Auckland and when they erupted.
Once that was finished we started to walk up one tree hill. It was very dirty because there was cow and sheep poo on the ground everywhere it was disgusting!! It took probably ten minutes to get up. But first we stopped at a place where you make your name or something with rocks it was so cool.
After that we started walking again we went on the road and I got a fright because a car was right in front of me. Finally we made it up. It looked beautiful.I read the notes on the wall and I found out that the chief died.
When we got to the bottom we had a break so we could eat our lunch.Then I saw a game called Capture the flag.I felt like join the game and I did I was in the bands team.I had so much fun!!

The Experiment.

In the afternoon Mr Barks invited us to do a experiment about the power of pressure with dried ice. We walked out of school grounds and down to the pt.england reserve then stopped near the playground. I was so excited!

The dried ice is minus 78 C. which is very cold,it could give you blisters. (if it is dried ice it will not turn into water it will not turn straight into gas)

First of all Mr barks put some dried ice in the bottle and put the cap on very tightly,then added water. After that room 15 and 18 kids all counted down from 20 and when it reached zero the bottle exploded ''BOOM''

Now he did another one (again) with a mitten on this time... when we counted down from 20 again. The mitten teared apart. Everyone was Amazed!!

My First Rugby Game

In April We had our first game against viscount school. We took the bus and we sang some songs and finally their, it took along time to get there. ''We there'' were nervous because we lost at our home ground, It was a interesting game but it turned that we won! it was a to easy. I scored one try and the under 45kg were to good. Unfortunitly the overs and the girls team lostand they were sad.....

Bike Safety

After morning tea, as room fifteen were sitting down at the walkway. I saw lots of bikes on the field, and I thought we were going to ride them. And I was right! This man called Tony came to teach us about bike safety. I was so excited! Tony came from big foot adventures. Our first course was ramps it looks very cool. Carefully I manoeuvred over the ramps and zigzagged around the cones of the obstacle course.''When are we changing courses Miss Squires?'' I puffed I pushed my self to the limit as I jumped the ramp with my back wheel went in the air, But I nearly fractured my leg.

Suddenly Tony moved to another course on the hard court, where you need to use our intercedes which were our hand signals.So we left to go to Sometime new. we had to look back and see what was on the picture Tony was holding. Quickly turn back around say what was on the picture and do our hand signal.(I found it easy but I had to concentrate)

Finally we did a slow-motion race and who ever comes last wins and you have to keep your balance. Oshania and Rita finals and Rita Won!

I want the the people from big foot adventures to come again.

The Game Is On!

The New South Wales vs Queens land Maroons is nearly about to show on sky. I am so excited! and I think the Queens land Maroon are going to win because they have lots of very good people like Billy Slater for the fullback,johnathon thurstin as halfback, Greg Ingles as center (The man!), and more good players. The wales you are going down! Queens land are gonna win. They might beat them two times and lose on state of origin three. I do not when it is about to start but I know Queens lands going to win. GO Queens land!!!

Who am I!!

I am a big circle with four main layers. The crust, Mantle, inner core and outer core. Who am I? Yes I am the World.

My core is the inner center of me which is 5000 degrees C.

It is made out of nickel and iron. the core is very hard rock solid.It is the smallest thing in my body.

Surrounding my core is the Mantle. Hot Molten Magma flows to the top of the crater slowly and sinks back which makes presser. My mantle is consist of hot molten rocks on top of me is the crust.

My crust is the outer most layer. It protects us from the hot magma that flows to top and separates the plates.

Term 1 Assembly

Wow its the first day of term 2 and I am so excited, when I walked through the door I saw that we were learning about Volcanoes,Earthquakes and Tsunamis.

Volcanoes YES!! That is cool because Ice Land just had a volcano erupt and it is on

the news. I think we are going to have fun. Did you know that there are 50 volcanoes in Auckland and the last one to erupt was

In the weekend my family and I went to Rainbows End. It was my second time going. First I went to go on the scorpion carts but I was too short. So I went on the Bumper boats. It was very cool I got my shoes wet. After that I saw my brother and we went on the roller coaster and I got the butterflies. Now I got hungry, I told my sister to text our mum to get some food. On the Log flume, it was so boring until we went down the slide. Finally we went on the FEAR FALL. We went up and I got scared and wanted to get back down then we went flying down, I was screaming. So sadly it closed down and we went to go eat.
